 Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine is the sports medicine and off-ice training partner of the Jr. Gamblers Hockey Association. Through the performance sports training program, Athletic Republic™, our hockey-specific training enhances an athlete’s speed and separation.

Athletic Republic is the industry leader in Hockey performance training; it’s a systematic progression of hockey programs appropriate for all ages. Our programs are imbedded in the science of properly developing hockey players while safely taking them past their limits. It’s the application of increasing a hockey player’s stride frequency, stride length, bio-mechanics, conditioning, power output, shot velocity, puck control and dynamic stability.

Through our program, we:

1. Develop skating efficiency with the help of refining proper skating bio-mechanics
2. Take hockey players’ safely past their limits to develop greater on-ice speed
3. Increase a skater’s stride length, frequency and anaerobic capacity
4. We create individualized training programs that specifically target hockey musculature
5. We develop self-esteem and confidence
