Dylan Phinney, 97 Jr. Gambler goalie, was asked to fill in for an injured Ryan McKay, of the Green Bay Gamblers, on Saturday December 17. “I have watched and dreamed of playing for the Gamblers some day, and this night it happened,” Dylan said after the game. “It was a great experience to take the ice with a team of players that I thought were much more experienced than myself and being treated like I was part of the team”

Jon Rogger, assistant coach of the Gamblers, “This is the age of players that we are looking at. We want to know what kind of talent is out there to keep our team competitive for years to come.” The entire coaching staff works with the Jr. Gamblers, giving the association a look at what the next level of hockey demands. “We want them to see what they can achieve with hard work and talent, and if the opportunity comes up, let them experience it.”

Dylan warmed up with the team and enjoyed an exciting overtime win, beating the Lincoln Stars 3-2 in overtime.
