The '97 Green Bay Jr. Gamblers traveled to Windsor Ontario December 27-30. They were able to capture second place, out of 9 teams, in the Riverside Bantam Midget International Hockey Tournament. They won 3 out of their 4 games to get them into the semi final round. The team defeated the Riverside Rangers by a score of 4-1 advancing them into the Championship round. There they took on the Birmingham Rangers challenging them all the way through the third period only to lose 2-1. In the history of the Jr. Gamblers attending this holiday tournament, this is the farthest any team was able to accomplish.
