The Jr. Gamblers will officially kick off the 2008-2009 season on June 29th. We would like this to be a mandatory meeting, but certainly understand that summer travel plans may prevent families from being present, please let your Team Rep know if you will be unavailable to attend.

USA Hockey Registration:  Every player must register online for USA Hockey.  The Jr. Gamblers use the USA Hockey cybersport software and transmit all rosters electronically.  Please go to www.USAHockey.com , there is a red box that says click here to register, follow the simple instructions. A step by step guide is available herePlease print your confirmation with the bar code and bring this to the registration

USA Hockey Forms:  Please fill out all required USA Hockey and Jr. Gamblers forms and bring them on registration night. These forms can be found here. The following forms should be completed. Coaches and Team Reps are required to fill out these forms as well.

1.      USA Hockey Waiver of Liability

2.      USA Hockey Consent to Treat.

3.      USA Hockey Code of Conduct.

4.      Jr. Gamblers Waiver of Liability.

5.      Jr. Gambler Agreement (Please note, it is each player and families responsibility to read the Jr. Gambler handbook that is found online prior to signing this agreement)

6.      Copy of players birth certificate (if you are a returning player please check if this is needed)

Hotel Information:  The Jr. Gamblers have entered agreements with select hotel chains to provide rooms for our team this season.  All rooms booked will be double non-smoking rooms at a competitive rate.  All reservations will be done via a rooming list.  Team Reps will be collecting your credit card information on Registration night.  This means you will never have to call to make a reservation, it will automatically be done for you on all travel weekends.  The only call you will be required to make is if you wish to cancel that reservation!

Financial Commitment Forms:   Team fees will be paid on a monthly basis from August 1st through March 1st  via electronic funds transfer from your bank account.  More information regarding this process will be sent out prior to June 29th.  Monthly fee structure is available in the Jr. Gambler handbook.  Families have the option the pay the entire fee at one time if they do not wish to have the monthly payment.

Association Dues:  The $150 per family annual Association dues will be collected on this night.

Apparel: Players will be sized for their team apparel on this night.  If you are unable to attend, please let your Team Rep know what size you think your player would require.   All apparel sales will be done through the Gambler Organization in the Pro-shop at the Resch center this year. You will however, be able to order a sweatshirt for your player on Registration Night.  Micki Klemencic our apparel coordinator will be there to answer question and take orders.

Sponsorship:  Now that try-outs are completed, all players are free to begin soliciting sponsors.  Sponsorship information can be found on our website.  Amanda Toonen, Rick’s assistant, will be available on Registration night to answer any question.  If you have question before that time, please feel free to contact me at TPavek@new.rr.com.  Because of the way our fee collection is set up this year, sponsorship funds will be rebated to families via check from the Association.

Equipment Orders:  Coach Coughlin and a team from the St. Norbert’s Pro-Shop will be present to take equipment orders and do skate fittings.  All orders will be discounted. This same discount will be available to our players throughout the season.

Representatives from icoach, NEXT Testing and the Bellin XL program will be there as well.

Looking forward to seeing you on June 29th,

Diane Pavek
Association Secretary / Registrar
