The Jr. Gamblers Midgets extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games after winning the Shattuck St. Mary's tournament over the weekend.  After beating the Omaha Lancers 6-2 in the opening game the Jr. Gamblers faced off against a tough St. Paul Prep team from Winnepeg, Manitoba.  It was a tight match until late in the third when Ben Verbeten struck to make it 3-1 Green Bay and the game finished 5-1.  In the championship they faced off against the Ojibwa Eagles who upset Thunder Bay to get in the finals.  After a back and forth first period which ended 3-3 the Jr. Gamblers took control and scored three unanswered goals in the second period.  Jordan Nagelkirk shut the door the rest of the way and the Jr. Gamblers got their first win this year against Ojibwa to take the Championship!

Congratulations to the Jr. Gambler Midgets!!
